The Mystery of Edwin Drood
November 10-19, 2023
Van Fleet Theatre
Based on Charles Dickens’ final unfinished novel, this hilarious whodunit invites the audience to solve its mystery by choosing the identity of the murderer. The tale is presented as a show-within-a-show, as the Music Hall Royale – a delightfully loony Victorian theatre company – presents Dickens’ brooding mystery.

Location/Parking:
This performance will take place in the Van Fleet Theatre at the Columbus Performing Arts Center, located at 549 Franklin Avenue. Please use the parking lot across the street from the building. Those who park in the lot on the side of the building may be towed. |
Pre-Show:
The company of the Music Hall Royale will be out and about to greet our audiences about 10 minutes before the start of the show. Arrive early to see them in action! Timing: Drood runs for approximately 2 and a half hours, including one 15 minute intermission. Once the show begins, please remain seated unless there is an emergency. Late arrivals may be seated after the opening number. After that time, we will not allow any further entry until intermission. The house will open approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. Content Warning: The Mystery of Edwin Drood is first and foremost a silly show and handles its dark topics with a light touch. However, it does include depictions of imperialism, drug use, sexual harassment, and murder. |
